Michelle Jones

Senior Vice President, Counseling


 



Michelle Jones is Senior Vice president of Counseling at Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Atlanta. Jones is responsible for all counseling services, including a staff of more than 300 counselors who specialize in budget and credit, housing and pre-filing bankruptcy counseling. These counseling services are provided in-person, by telephone and online.


Jones was previously Vice President of Counseling from 2002 to 2009. She joined the agency in 1997 as a counselor. She was promoted to a branch manager in 1998 and was made Director of Branch Counseling in 2000.

Jones is a graduate of the 2007 inaugural class of the Executive Leadership Program for Non-Profit Organizations jointly presented by the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University, and Emory University Goizueta Business School. She is a member of Leadership DeKalb and the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce. In 2009, Atlanta Woman magazine honored Jones as a "Woman on the Way," a recognition of her leadership within her agency and within her industry.

She is a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds a master's degree in clinical psychology from Georgia Southern University.
