"Your Credit Union Name" Joins CCCS' Beneficial For You program

 

In an effort to continue to provide the best possible service to our members, we have recently partnered with Consumer Credit Counseling Service. This partnership offers direct access to Beneficial For You, a program designed for credit union members and their families.  This program enables us to offer our members dependable credit counseling and regularly scheduled financial education classes at no cost.

 

Whether a member is behind on a credit union loan or simply looking for ideas to improve their financial management skills, this partnership will offer our members a variety of solutions to remedy their financial management skills, this partnership will offer our members a variety of solutions to remedy their financial problems. We will refer members who are in need of creditcounseling, budgeting assistance, credit report analysis and other financial management services to CCCS for complimentary assistance. In turn, CCCS services become an added benefit to our membership.

In our last newsletter, we shared with you the exciting news of our newly formed partnership with Consumer Credit Counseling Service to provide our members with the Beneficial For You program. This exciting program providew our members with depandable credit counseling and regularly schedule financial education classes at no cost.

 

Some of the services CCCS offers as part of the Beneficial For You program include:

 

Credit Counseling

Our advisors will review your members current situation, and collaborate to determine the most effective financial strategies to address current problems and meet future goals. We'll also help develop a personalized plan to get on stable footing and avoid financial pitfalls down the road.

 

Debt Management Program
Our Debt Management Plan (DMP) provides a systematic way for your members to pay down outstanding debt. We'll work with your members to design a manageable, tailored plan that will minimize monthly payments, interest and related fees--and reduce or eliminate those stressful collection calls. Once enrolled in a Debt Management Program, your members make a single convenient monthly deposit that is disbursed to their creditors. As a Beneficial For You partner, your members receive reduced fees.

 

Housing Counseling

CCCS is certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a comprehensive housing counseling agency. Our HUD-trained and certified housing counselors provide expertise to help your members through a variety of issues and concerns--including pre-purchase, mortgage default, rent delinquency, post occupancy and declined loan application.
 

Reverse Mortgage Counseling
We provide reverse mortgage counseling, when appropriate, to your members over the age of 62.

 

Homebuyer Workshops*
We offer HUD-approved "First-Time Home Buyer" workshops, a step-by-step guide to buying a home that helps assess your members' financial readiness. Participants receive a certificate of completion, which is required for most down payment assistance programs.

 

*Home Buyer Education in-person presentations in Florida are limited to approved counties.

 

Educational Workshops
CCCS Educators present financial education programs designed to motivate your members to take financial control of their lives. Your partnership with CCCS includes educational programs for your members and your staff. These presentations are conveniently conducted at your credit union. Presentations are from 1 to 3 hours in length. In collaboration with Beneficial For You partners, the CCCS Education Department will customize presentations to meet members' needs.
